Picturing a World

School for suffrage workers

I collected this newspaper picture of Carrie Chapman Catt because it drives home the idea that in the early 20th C women were having to learn how to appear in public, a motif in ANONYMITY. It also shows that there were lots more women active in the movement than just the famous names we know today.

What I failed to do was document where I got the picture. I think it dates from ca. 1912, when the movement took on new fire. If anyone recognizes it, please tell me what you know!
