Sadie Hawkins hearts

Okay, so I missed Valentine's Day for this post, but how about two hearts on Sadie Hawkins Day? For some reason, I'm always tickled see the heart shape as a symbol of love in 15th C manuscript illuminations. Here it's right in the text—and not just once, but twice. The line says that two hearts are put into accord, "made as one,"  made equal (mettre a egal). Bon!
